The last competition of the 2010s concluded in thrilling fashion with a four-way share of second place, but it was Jeanette Trethewey who came out on top after shooting 41 points. In calm conditions for the time of year, 45 golfers' set about tackling their last competition for this decade. With no fewer than six 2s, and 15 players' scoring 36 or more points, it was tight at the top! The gentle winds meant birdie putts were shared plentifully, with 21 being made, 5 of which were holed on the 16th.
Results: 1st Jeanette Trethewey; 2nd Tim Dunk; 3rd Gene Alan; 4th Colin Stothard; 5th Steve Cork

Vice-Captain Andrew Arnold took the most wins in Mens' Competitions with 5 wins across the year, closely followed by Mark Grey with his 4 wins. 30 players' successfully competed in more than one event, with a handful winning 3 events across the season.
We had two hole in 1s this seasons: Jeff Sewell on 29/01 in the Seniors' Winter Cup on the 7th; and Peter Bright on 11/08 in the August Medal on the 14th. Congratulations!
A final note for 2019: Only one player secured an albatross this year - the late Colin Cheetham in May's Senior Medal. We remember Colin for his success on the golf course and his kind and friendly nature towards everyone he met.
We want to thank all of our members' and guests who have played in our competitions and charity days in 2019 and we look forward to welcoming you all back to Grange Park in 2020!
